Silverlight, ASP.NET and C# Developer

The programmer will be responsible for working with a small but experienced development team of business analysts, testers and designer/programmers.  ProModel currently has products developed in C# using IdeaBlade’s DevForce with SQL Server 2k5 as the database.  The product presentation layers are a mixture of ASP.NET and Silverlight with new work focused on Silverlight.

This is a small proud team environment that values quality software and documentation in a timely fashion. Ability to program in a team environment is very important.

ProModel has multiple positions available ranging from entry to senior level.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • Entry Level Developer
    • Directly out of college.
    • Ability to demonstrate development work using Silverlight is highly desired.
  • Junior or Mid Level Developer
    • 2 to 4 years experience developing enterprise applications and web solutions using Microsoft .NET technologies.
    • Must be able to demonstrate previous Silverlight work as part of group interview in the form of live demo or screenshots.
  • Senior Level Developer
    • 5+ years experience developing enterprise applications and web solutions using Microsoft .NET technologies.
    • Must be able to demonstrate previous Silverlight work as part of group interview in the form of live demo or screenshots.
  • Experience with 3rd party development components highly desired
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, planning and communication skills.
  • MCAD or MCSD
  • Familiarity with SCRUM, Iterative, XP, or Agile development methodology.

Microsoft SQL Server Database Developer / Designer / DBA

Location:  Ann Arbor, MI     Position type:  Full-time    Start Date:  ASAP

ProModel is currently looking to fill a senior-level Microsoft SQL Server Database Developer position.  The individual will work with a small, proud and experienced development team of business analysts, testers and software developers that values quality software and documentation in a timely fashion.  Ability to work in an agile team environment is very important.
ProModel currently has products developed with SQL Server 2005/2008 databases.  The data object model layers are developed in C# using Entity Framework, RIA Services and IdeaBlade’s DevForce.  The product presentation layers are Silverlight / C#.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with a team on data architecture, database design and object creation
  • Ensuring a flexible and open database environment for rapidly evolving software solutions
  • Development and testing of complex T-SQL for queries, stored procedures, UDFs, views, etc.
  • Responsibility for database performance, optimization, tuning, capacity planning
  • Proactive database designs for optimal performance on inaccessible deployed database servers
  • Updating C#/.NET-based object models with database schema changes
  • Providing database knowledge support for software developers
  • Database administration and troubleshooting of multiple system environments (in-house and external) for development, testing and production releases
  • Design and implementation of in-house database backup and recovery strategies
  • Engage in discussions with the client’s administrators regarding requirements, rollout processes, optimization and continued maintenance
  • Occasionally travel to client locations for deployment assistance

REQUIRED:

  • Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • 5+ years of primary experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • In depth expertise with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 & 2008
  • Database design, development, implementation and administration on very large systems
  • Practical experience in tuning databases with large amounts of data
  • Strong skills with T-SQL for queries, stored procedures, functions, views, etc.
  • Self-sufficiency and initiative working on database projects
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, planning and communication skills

PREFERRED:

  • MCDBA / MCTS / MCITP
  • Experience with C#, .NET Framework, Entity Framework, RIA Services, DevForce, LINQ, Visual Studio
  • Experience with software and hardware administration of database, web and file servers
  • Familiarity with Integration Services, Analysis Services, Reporting Services, etc.
  • Exposure to and interaction with Oracle, etc.

Familiarity with SCRUM, Iterative, XP, or Agile development methodologies


C# Silverlight Developer

Location:  Ann Arbor, MI     Position type:  Full-time    Start Date:  ASAP

The programmer will be responsible for working with a small but experienced development team of business analysts, testers and designer/programmers.  ProModel currently has products developed in C# leveraging either RIA Services or IdeaBlade’s DevForce as the business object layer with SQL Server 2k5/2k8 as the database.  The product presentation layers use Silverlight 3.0/4.0.
